The boats are made from high-strength PVC fabrics (Mehler (Germany), Scantarp (Finland)). Replacement with other fabrics of similar strength characteristics is allowed.
Balloon: 850-1100 g/m².
The partitions are made of reinforced fabric with a density of 500-600 g/m².
Bottom: the underside is made of reinforced fabric with a density of 1200-1350 g/m²; the deck (top) is made of reinforced fabric with a density of 700-900 g/m² and has a second layer of non-slip Scantarp fabric with a density of 850 g/m².
The supports (shaping partitions inside the bottom) are made of reinforced fabric with a density of 650 g/m² and are stitched to the straps with a density of 850-1100 g/m².
The balloon is equipped with: thwarts, oar locks, guardrails, towing rings, mounts for installing canisters, and carrying handles for the boats. The structural elements of the boats comply with the requirements of GOST 21292. Comparison of Azimut boats.
CLASSIC and VECTOR Series
CLASSIC and VECTOR. A lightweight boat, suitable for one person who values comfort while fishing and relaxing. It is also ideal for small outings for two people and fishing trips with overnight stays, either with a small motor or without one. The maximum lightweight configuration weighs 27 kg, while the average with additional equipment is around 35-36 kg. It is designed for medium and small bodies of water such as rivers and lakes.
Key specifications of the smallest boats in these series:
It can be seen that the main difference between the CLASSIC series and VECTOR is the increased width of the boat and, accordingly, the cockpit, and the increased diameter of the cylinder, hence the height to the cans, which makes it more convenient for people with tall stature to sit. But in general, the purpose of the boats is the same.
ATLAS Series
Azimuth ATLAS is designed for one-person operation, but it is already possible and easy to take on board a second passenger for fishing for several hours, or overnight. The weight of the boat has not increased much, unlike the lightest classic models. The ideal model for engines from 8-10 hp. Comfortable operation in the middle water area of rivers and lakes, but you can feel confident even on a large reservoir.
When compared with the Classic Series
At first glance, it is clear that the width of the boat has increased and the width of the cockpit is already 81 cm, as well as the height of the cans has increased (up to 41 cm). For greater reliability, the thickness of the cans was increased to 21 cm for such a width. But the main difference is that stability was improved by increasing the width and depth of the cockpit and seaworthiness due to the modified contours of the bottom, where a pronounced keel with a sharp stem was set along the central log of the NDND.
TAIFUN Series
The TAIFUN azimuth is designed for those who want to get the most out of it. The level of safety and comfort of this model allows you to go on a short trip and an expedition on it. The space inside the boat is your guaranteed individuality.
Let's compare it with ATLAS:
As you can see, the TAIFUN has become a little wider, but most importantly, the boat was designed as the most "seaworthy boat" in size 380. Due to its dimensions and contours of the keel bottom, the boat is designed for excellent wave passage. The TAIFUN380 azimuth will fully show you all the advantages of NDND boats, you will feel confident even in the marine area. That is why many owners call their boat "Kayfun", which perfectly reflects the feelings of freedom and comfort. Azimuth boats of the series: vector, classic, atlas, typhoon, have a flat-keeled bottom design. Such a bottom is given a keel, which is large in the nose and smaller in the stern, this softens the impacts on the water, which are strongest in the bow.
EVEREST Series
The EVEREST series differs completely in the contours of the bottom of the NDND, from all models of Azimuth boats.
Let's compare it with TAIFUN:
At first glance, the boats are the same and only the height to the top of the cans has been increased to 43 cm, but this was done precisely due to increased stability by changing the shape of the bottom. The contours of the Azimuth EVEREST series boats have a curved-keeled bottom shape, thanks to the addition of additional shaping partitions up to 10 pieces, which significantly increased the rigidity of the bottom and distributed the load in it. The curved keeled bottom (also simply called "chaikino wing" or "pulpit") has a very solid structure, which is not afraid of strong impacts on the water. Tests on the water of a NDND boat with such contours showed a decent positive result in terms of wave passage and shock loads, the speed characteristics are slightly higher due to the increased keeling angle and the shape of the bottom, but the construction of a planing inflatable hull with a curved keeled bottom is much more difficult. Modeling the shape of the bottom at the stern as well with the "seagull wing" element allowed the boat to enter the turn with a complete absence of lateral roll.
EXPEDITION Series
The Azimuth EXPEDITION can be separated from the entire Azimuth boat range. Such large PVC boats are created for lovers of travel, expeditions on the water. Confidence in water transport, which will take you quickly to any point of the planned route as safely and comfortably as possible. The AZIMUT EXPEDITION series of boats is designed specifically for these purposes. These models were constructed based on the results of studying user demand. The main technical task was to increase the width of the cockpit, seaworthiness, rigidity of the bottom and the entire hull with a length from 440 cm to 500 cm.
As a result, AZIMUT EXPEDITION SERIES rowing engines have the following technical characteristics and design features: with a side diameter of 53 cm and a cockpit width of 95 cm. Inside, the bottom has 10 pcs of forming partitions, this significantly adds rigidity to the bottom itself and to the entire boat. On sizes 470 and 500, an inflatable frame is installed inside the bottom in the basic configuration. It is an additional compartment with an operating pressure of up to 600 mbar, which completely removes the effect of retracting the NDND when using powerful motors from 25 hp.
